I'm under pressure
You don't have to carry it alone
Stress, burnout, feeling isolated, or just not yourself. Our free 12-week group is a place to drop the act, have a proper chat, and pick up tools that work in real life.
What to expect
Just blokes. No judgement.
We're setting up the first group now, starting in Manchester. Dates and venue are being sorted. Put your name down and you'll be first to hear.
- Free for men. It costs you £0. Always.
- Small and closed. The same 8–10 guys every week, so trust can build.
- Quick chat first. Within 48 hours of your group opening up, we'll call you for about 30 minutes to check it's the right fit and that you're safe.
- Talk as much or as little as you like. Listening is fine.
- What's said in the room stays in the room.
Who it's for
Any guy dealing with stress, burnout, loneliness or just feeling the weight of it all. You don't need a diagnosis. You don't need to have "hit rock bottom". If you're feeling the pressure, you're welcome.
Mental health through sport
Moving your body helps shift what's in your head. The group is built around that idea, and when you finish, you can carry on with running and fitness clubs alongside the lads.
The format
90 minutes a week. 12 weeks.
Every session opens with one question: "What's your pressure today, out of 10?" Then it breaks down like this:
Tools · 30 min
Practical stuff you can use on a bad day: coping skills, reframing your thinking, and building resilience.
Open talk · 45 min
Confidential, no judgement. Say what's actually going on, or just listen. Nobody's put on the spot.
Your goal · 15 min
Set one realistic goal for the week ahead. Small wins, every week.
After week 12 you graduate. Keep the momentum going in running and fitness clubs, or train as a peer mentor and help the next lot through.
FAQ
Fair questions
Is it free?
Yes. It's completely free for men. Our work with employers helps pay for the groups, along with donations and fundraising.
Do I have to talk?
No. Plenty of guys just listen for the first few weeks, and that's fine. You share what you want, when you want. The only thing we ask everyone is their number out of 10, and you can keep it short.
Is it confidential?
Yes. What's said in the group stays in the group. The one exception: if we're seriously worried about your safety or someone else's, we may need to get you extra help. We'd always try to talk to you about it first.
What if I'm in a bad place right now?
Please don't wait for a group. If you're thinking about ending your life or can't keep yourself safe, call 999 or go to A&E. You can call Samaritans any time on 116 123, or text SHOUT to 85258. See all crisis support.
When we have our first chat with you, we'll check how you're doing. If you need more than a peer group, we'll help get you to the right professional support.
Is it a therapy group?
No. It's peer support: men helping men, with real tools and a trained facilitator. It doesn't replace professional care. We're backed by licensed therapists and clinical leads, and if someone needs more, we fast-track them to one-to-one professional support or NHS crisis care.
When and where does it start?
We're setting up the first group now, starting in Manchester. Dates and venue aren't fixed yet. Register your interest and you'll be the first to know.
I'm not near Manchester. Can I still sign up?
Yes. Put your name down with your area. It shows us where men want a group, and that helps decide where the next ones start. Want to help get one going in your town? Tell us.
